Brown grocery bag Christmas stockings

I made these stockings for Madeline's class party out of a few simple items.  The stocking is simply red and white construction paper and it is glued on to a large grocery sack.  Each year I buy stockings from The Dollar Tree but they are never big enough for all of the goodies.  I think this money saving upcycled stocking will have more than enough room!

December 9, 2012

One of the most fascinating things about having a four year old at home is watching her love of craft making.  From coloring to painting and making things with paper, her interest in creating grows each day.

A tea party on the floor of Madeline's bedroom was the perfect way to end a busy day.  It was perfect mostly because our little girl was full of smiles, compliments and happiness.

December 3

Mixing crafts and sweets might just be one of our favorite things.
This frosting Christmas tree was quite the treat!

Day one of December.

What better way to kick off the holiday season than a trip on The Minivan Express.  While Madeline and Maddox were playing with their mom in the the bedroom, I slipped this note under the door.

The note sent Madeline running to the bathroom to find her robe.  In her robe pocket were two genuine tickets to ride "The Minivan Express".
She left her brother far behind and ran into the kitchen where the "conductor" was waiting to sign her ticket.
Little Maddox made his way to the conductor with his genuine ticket to ride!
With signed tickets in hand, the Christmas duo made their way outside to find that the van was loaded with hot cocoa, popcorn and a special gift from Build-A-Bear for each of them!  Once everyone was loaded, The Minivan Express took us around town to look at Christmas lights!

Day 1 of December

The Salmons Family 4 kicked off the month of December today by attending two local area Christmas parades and a visit with Santa.
